Apple versus France

France has made it clear to Apple, the largest online music provider, that the state will not allow the unanimous monopoly of Apple. iTunes, the tunes distributed by Apple are distributed in such a format that is playable only in iPod, a thing which is not appreciated by France. Instead, they want Apple to make the format open to all so that other online music providers can get to know about unique encryption technologies used by Apple. In retaliation, Apple has made it clear that it is ready to withdraw from the French online music market rather than selling its proprietary iTunes to its competitors. .
